This picture, along with another I took, is just begging to either be lolcat’d or have a thought bubble added. I love this picture because of the sheer amount of negative space behind my cat, Sissy, and her awfully inquisitive look. She was behaving so well for me to get this picture!
If you view the full size on Flickr, you can clearly see myself and my camera in both of her eyes.

Seen here is a capture of the King of the Hill where Hank and Bobby enter the shooting contest, specifically the portion where they are discussing all the parts of the actual competition, using sex to sell it.
This is a picture of our new Mamiya 645 ProTL with the viewfinder removed.

This was my photo for January 11. I didn’t get it uploaded yesterday because I fell asleep on the couch before I could, to be honest. This was a lizard outside my neighbor’s door on the coldest night we’ve had so far. I believe the temperature in the hallway was approximately around 30F. These lizards are usually almost identical in color to the wall itself however, this one was a bluish-green which I believe was attributed to the colder than normal weather. The lizard was moving around extremely sluggishly and moved as little as he needed to.
However, I did see him the next day and he was crawling around OK.

I took this immediately after coming home from the coldest motorcycle ride I’ve ever been on. The temperature when stopped must have been in the mid 40s but when I was moving, it was definitely down in the 30s. My entire head was frozen and I was worried that the zipper pull that was touching my neck was going to give me a cold burn. Luckily it did not. Nothing I was wearing was very appropriate to be outside in, let alone driving around at 45MPH in.
The lumpiness on my left side was due to the three cans of turnip greens I had stashed in my coat while I was out.

I took this on the way to eat breakfast today. It’s a cold and dreary day and this was a completely chance/random shot that I took to actually check to see what my focal length was. The dark spots are water on the car window, not dust luckily. Out of all the random shots I took today, this was my favorite and probably the best composed.

We took this for a reddit challenge to shoot a glass of water in black & white. This is my favorite out of the 20 or 30 I took.

This is a warning sign about 200 feet from the entrance to our apartment complex. I find it hilarious because awful is in GIANT RED CAPITAL LETTERS just to make sure you know that it’s awful. It’s not there to remind you that illegal dumping is illegal, just awful. Palm Beach County could learn a thing or two about using typography better.
(No, this is not a black and white picture. The lettering is reflective and didn’t take well to my flash)

Stairs right outside our apartment. The hallway was unbearably cold thanks to the 15MPH wind that was plowing through it at the time I took this photograph. I also took another one identical to this except at slightly less than infinity focus but I did not like the composition of it as much. This one with the more shallow depth of field provided the frontal focal point I wanted.

We spent the beginning of the year at the West Boca Emergency Center because our friend got hurt pretty badly on New Year’s Eve. After spending three hours there and watching the whole Rose Bowl, it turns out she just had contusions on both knees, a fractured, bone between the toe and foot on her left foot along with a laceration on the big toe, a sprained right ankle along with a deep contusion on her right foot.

This is my new vintage Yashica Electro 35 GSM 35mm rangefinder camera. It was built circa 1973 and is a testament to the industrial design that was so chic in 1970s Japanese culture. It was one of the first rangefinders available that made use of electronic step-less shutter which was controlled by an electro-magnet. It’s built like a tank and has atrocious ergonomics, which apparently didn’t exist at all until the late 1980s in camera design — my early 1990s Yashica 230-AF displays a dramatic change in body shape, built for hand-holding compared to the Electro 35 GSN.
