Tonight we put a mouse in our hamster ball and tossed some treats into it. Don immediately took to it and tried to get the mouse out. It took a few tries of sticking his paw in, tipping it over with his head, pushing it, and so forth before he finally got everything out. It was a lot of fun watching him try to figure it all out.

This picture, along with another I took, is just begging to either be lolcat’d or have a thought bubble added. I love this picture because of the sheer amount of negative space behind my cat, Sissy, and her awfully inquisitive look. She was behaving so well for me to get this picture!
If you view the full size on Flickr, you can clearly see myself and my camera in both of her eyes.

Two of our cadre of cats: Benny (Egyptian Mau) and Mains (Havana Brown…we assume). My girlfriend snapped this shot when I wasn’t looking and it turned out better than I expected, even the utterly surprised look on both of their faces.

This is Benny playing in one of our now discarded Ikea boxes. She thought it was a fun place to take a nap until I blinded her with my camera’s flash.

One of our outdoor cats, Kitty, ready to pounce on another cat off camera. This was my first attempts as decent night photography using my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D and the pop-up flash.
