Even gaming comics think Jesus is silly

August 16th, 2007 by James Westfall

I’ve been reading a bunch of new-to-me web comics this week (list up shortly) but I stumbled across this one just now at Bored and Evil:

Jesus is the scariest monster of the year...

Three years of “Bored and Evil” and you posted this one?! :op Hope you like what you’ve read so far though. Cheers!

Well, I’ve read the newest stuff a few times but I went back to the beginning, back when Robert was doing it, and started reading from there. Hard for me to tell that the comic switched writers ;).

I love the stuff and the social/gaming commentary is spot on, truly.

I wouldn’t really consider Bored and Evil gaming, now Dueling Analogs is gaming and it has religious references every now and then too:

Steve, I actually loved the Truth Hurts strip, one of my favorite DA’s so far (I’m up to The Miis: Game, Set, Match 2007-01-19).

The strip from B&E really caught my eye because the previous one said that “the scariest movie monster of the year” was now living with them and that just happened to be Jesus. I got a huge laugh out of that.
