Blogroll change-up

I’ve now changed the static blogroll to a rolling, live version of my actual feeds in my feed reader. It’s far more replete than my static blogroll ever would be. I almost chose Minekey over rollSense but MineKey lacks a key feature: OPML import. Why they left this out I have no idea because I’m not going to go through and add 60+ feeds manually when rollSense lets me upload my OPML file instead.

It will take a few days for it to start recommending more appropriate content and if it doesn’t, I’ll just switch over to the latest feeds option it offers me.

  2. Delip,
I can’t wait to test MineKey once OPML support is added. Right now, it’s the only thing stopping me from using the service.

  3. James,

We just launched the OPML support and announced some exciting features including OPML support etc., … whereby we are offering enhanced value to bloggers …

We hope to see the Minekey widget on this blog soon :-)

  4. Delip,
I’m digging your OPML imports. I noticed that my private feeds in my OPML file did not show up on import unlike with rollSense which made trimming out the fluff a lot faster! I’m very glad I didn’t have to go through and remove about 15 private feeds since I didn’t see them listed.

I like the more fleshed out dashboard as well, it gives the user a feeling that there’s going to be more information coming soon — especially since I’m sure there’s going to be monetization involved shortly.

MineKey looks to be on the up-and-up for live blogrolls now.
